Of course, you can start writing and try to figure it out along the way, but for most writers, that approach only creates more confusion and overwhelm. It can also take a lot longer to complete your novel than if you create a solid story plan before you write.
Trust me, every novel I’ve attempted to “discover along the way,” (i.e. not plan before I started) is currently sitting, unfinished in my Google Docs Graveyard. And I blamed myself for not being smart or creative enough and not having enough motivation to complete them. But really, I was just working with underdeveloped ideas.

You will receive written feedback and a 30-minute consultation call to guide your next steps for your story. I’ll also help you make a writing plan so that when you are ready to start, you’ll be able to maximize your chances of finishing your novel, too!
How it works
When you sign up for a Story Clarity Consultation, you receive a questionnaire that dives into all aspects of your story, your main character, and your writing process. When you submit your completed questionnaire, you’ll be able to book the 30-minute consultation with me. Prior to that call, you’ll receive an editorial letter with my thoughts about your idea and any recommendations to strengthen your approach.
I also believe that your mindset toward the writing process is a big indicator of whether you’ll be successful or not, so if you have had challenges completing drafts in the past, we’ll address some possible mental blocks during our consultation as well.
My goal is to help set you up for as much success as possible from the start of your writing journey!
